Macs have long been associated with creative work, especially graphic design. Here are the top reasons why Macs would be great for video editing as well: Macs are Preferred by Creative Artists Ask any expert graphic designing professional what their preferred operating system is. Mac advantages are that their displays tend to be very color accurate with good display quality. Because Macs have dominated the graphic design world for a long time, there is some specialized graphic design software created only for iOS. Share applications between macs. I'm a graphic designer and have always worked on MBP's. I'm about to upgrade again and can't decide if I'm better off getting a new retina display 13' MacBook Pro and a 27' Thunderbolt Display (as I travel around a lot and work in cafes) or keep my current MBP just for travelling and meetings in cafes etc and buy a big old iMac 27' for the office and then just dropbox files between the two. Which do you think is a better/faster option for tonnes of graphics work ie. I have pretty much the whole Adobe Creative Suite on the go at all times :) Thanks.

Why Is Mac Better For Graphic Design
  1. But choosing the right Mac for design work can be a challenge. Apple creates a whole range of Mac OS X laptops (MacBooks) and desktop computers. Although all Apple Macs are great, some are better suited to design than others. With this in mind we've created this guide to buying the right Mac for graphic design.
  2. There is no longer any reason to consider Mac the default option for graphic design. Long-time Mac users also frequently cite usability as a Mac advantage. In most cases, usability comes down to what.
  3. The MacBook Pro 13-inch (M1, 2020) may not have gotten a massive design overhaul, but what it lacks in that department, it makes up for big time in performance and battery life.
